Founded in 2025, EduInklusi is a one-stop online resource hub for families with Indonesian neurodivergent children. The team aspires to build an inclusive support system for all individuals supporting and/ or working with the well-being of local neurodivergent children.
Almost 30% of Indonesian youth with disabilities lack the access to accommodating education, and the rest of the demographic receive less than adequate quality in inclusive education (source: World Bank Group). With the inclusive community being centered in major cities such as Jakarta, parents and professionals from wider geographical areas have a harder time receiving relevant information regarding the topic. Hence, EduInklusi is on a mission to bring parents, families, therapists, educators, inclusive schools, and other professionals of neurodivergent children into one place.
Research & Survey
A survey questionnaire was given to the client to explore their vision, mission, and other target requirements needed to reach the right market. The client hopes EduInklusi to be an inter-connected hub for families, schools, professionals, and the general masses to gain candid perspectives of neurodivergent children by internationally-accredited inclusive professionals. The digital platform won't just do services to the relevant market, but also strives to educate anyone interested in the phenomenon.
A few relevant keywords for EduInklusi's values are inclusivity, collaborationn, strength-based approach, progressive, and accessible. These values should be mindful of biased perspective of neurodivergent children still present in Indonesian society, such as segregative, traditional, and use deficit-based approach.
Below is the questionnaire given to the client in Bahasa Indonesia.
Client Questionnaire filled by client (in Bahasa Indonesia) | October 2025
I investigated relevant Indonesian inclusive digital platforms already present in Indonesia. Most communities have centered their main audience with one specific demographic. I believe EduInklusi's diversified value could achieve its niche by providing for all inclusive services regardless of the child's unique disability.

Brand Identity Concept
Out of the three constructed alternative branding concepts, Plasticine (clay) becomes the main object focus within the main values of EduInklusi. The putty-like modelling clay has the characteristics of children with disabilities; pliable, creative, and soothing. With different assortments of colors in playable plasticines, each color signifies the main support systems of the demographic; parents, educational institutions, therapists, and researchers.

Pliable
Striving for each individual's uniqueness and not for perfect “boxed” person. Honors unpredictability rather than working against it.
Creative
Transforming traditional and conventional ways of perceiving uniqueness. Provides fun and alternative way to respond towards problems tailored to each person.
Soothing
Similar to the materiality of clays and stress balls, its role are often therapeutic and stress-relieving. It can be “molded” individually (serves intrapersonal needs) and communally (empowers interpersonal connections).

Logo Creation
I created three alternatives each with a focus on different elements. The first alternative being mostly typographically dominant (with a subtle emphasis on the first "e"), the second creating whitespace and balance for a human figure. and the last alternative be a building block made of plasticine that symbolizes sculpting future lives.
Alternative Logo Shapes (second option chosen)
The second option became the preferred logogram the client chose. The upward direction of the human figure within the white space creates a balanced attributes between professionalism and playfulness. Nest, derivatives of the logo shape were explored. The client settled for the second option.

Typography
With the logogram ready, a supporting typography of "Eduinklusi" is appropriate. A selection of typefaces were experimented to complement the "flowing" characteristic of the logo, similar to the materiality of plasticine.
Logotype Alternatives (Third option chosen)
The chosen typeface is Averia Sans Libre in Bold. Upon client approval, I produced several derivates of character thickness, kerning and color placements. The client also requested the contrast between the words "Edu" and "Inklusi" to increase readability. Logo and typeface placements were also considered.
Logotype and logogram placements
After careful consideration, the client chose the logo formation below as the final product.

Color Palette
Neurodivergent children tend to have a set of colors that accommodates their well-being. Vibrant and overly saturated colors should be avoided to prevent overstimulation. Warm colors such as red, orange, and yellow should be kept to a minimum or set with a low saturation. Cool colors such as green, blue, and purple are deemed easier on the eyes and can become soothing if handled accordingly. For those reasons.
Chosen color palette by children on the spectrum (The Land of Color, 2013).
Color matrix survey finding (Nair et al., 2022).
I resorted to pastel colors, with navy blue being the primary color, and orange being the secondary color on the overall color chart.
